$35 - Reservations required - Tickets can be purchased below or on eventbright.com
Ages 13 and up - details and FAQ below
What to expect:
1 hour of pendant making at the Center for Creativity inside the Historic Hotel Sequoia in downtown Redwood City.
You get 2 finished, wearable pendants of your own design
Plenty of time for socializing with other participants
You will receive two empty wooden "pendant frames" and will spend most of your time exploring the parts to fill in the empty space in the frames. Once your design is completed, we'll glue the parts into the frame and attach a cord.
The best part of the experience is the discovery process as you figure out how the parts work together and how to create something that fits your personality.
Some call this an exercise in mindfulness. Almost everyone will have an "Ah ha" moment.
Event Flow:
10 mins of introduction
50 mins of exploration/design/art/social time
5-10 mins of facilitated gluing & stringing
Participants:
Maximum of 10 concurrent guests per session.
Ages 13 and up, due to the thousands of carefully sorted parts
This activity is engaging for both highly creative and creatively challenged people. Everyone can create something terrific regardless of skill level.

How do these pendants hang?
There is a small loop at the top of the wooden hex frame. A simple knotted cord will be attached through the loop.
Where do all of these parts come from?
Parts and frames are designed digitally by Gadget and made from offcuts of his larger layered wood artworks.
Can I make more than two pendants?
Yes. Additional pendant frames can be purchased for a small additional cost and you can make as many as you like within your given timeslot.
What is the Center for Creativity (CfC) and where is it?
The CfC is located at 800 Main St (at Broadway) in downtown Redwood City. It is inside the lobby of the historic Hotel Sequoia.
The CfC is a community arts center that empowers everyone to experience, create, and connect through the arts. It hosts art exhibitions, workshops, and events.
Where can I park?
The closest parking is at the Marshall Street Garage, which is free for the first 1.5 hours.
Can I hire you for my private event?
Yes. Check out Gadget's pendant pARTy page and then reach out to get pricing and details.
What about pendant pARTies for kids?
I do not host kid-entric events on my own, but I do have a pendant making rig that is specially designed for younger makers. Reach out if you'd like to find out more.
